- "the core of the whole work of INDYMEDIA IS THE CONCEPT OF HORIZINTAL/PARTICIPATIVE DEMOCRACY" [sphinx]
- "will run workshops before the 13th. The hope is that they skills acquired in how to organize along concensus lines could be put to practice in all the workshops in tech skills" [c.t.butler]
- Hannah / Sayade: run workshops on Building and running low Powered FM, building antennas with canned food containers (con-tennas) and other stuff in that realm
- C.T.: formal consensus(http://consensus.net/ocaccontents.html): Introduction to Formal Consensus (Intro), Better Meeting Skills (BMS) and Training for Teachers (T4T) to teach Formal Consensus (FC). Everyone involved in this event should attend an Intro workshop. The Intro is usually a 2-day(14 hour) training. If possible, I should do at least one of these for those who are really dedicated. I am willing to design a shorter, perhaps 4 hour, Intro workshop so more people can have access to the information. The BMS workshop can be 4 hours. The T4T is also usually a 2-day (14 hour) workshop. I am willing to make this a one-day (7 hour) training. I do not yet know when I am arriving. I am available in early January, certainly before the 13th. I will need a letter inviting me to this event from someone in Kenya and it needs to state that I will be visiting friends, how long I will be there, and where I will be staying.
- Hannah, Sayade, ange: helping out with radio; streaming etc... "i propose we try to make retransmitions around the free radios of world, specially here in latinoamerica" [ange]
- "I'll run some workshops on most of the software used in indymedia like MIR,WIKI, Mailman and a handful of others. This is a general idea I have about workshops" [sphinx].
- Screen Printing WOrkShop: "I have been running a grassroots screenprint workshop in London for one year now. Screen printing is a wonderfully simple technique (once you know how to do it), it combines art, politics, publicity and business, and must be among the best ways to speak out in Africa." [Jan Maat] http://noid.co.nr/
- The interviewing workshops was really good and I have used it again and again here with our own migrants here in my work. [glenda]
"There is nothing more unequal than the equal treatment of unequals."
